Bought this coat to replace an old wool reefer back in the summer from Silvermans. I’ve only just started wearing it as the weather gets colder and WOW this is some coat! The weight of the cloth gives a hint that it might be warm but you won’t believe just HOW warm it is, even if you’re wearing a thin shirt and a tie. A real quality garment that’ll last a lifetime. I was told about these jackets by my son who has always had excellent taste. I saw one in a shop for £275 and tried it on – great fit – but thought I would check out the Web before purchasing. I knew about and trusted Silvermans from way back and could not believe they were doing the same coat for £203 inc post. I ordered it on Monday late afternoon and it was here first thing Wednesday. It is truly a stylish, class piece of kit – surprisingly light, but very warm – so much so that I have not really been able to test it yet because of the warm autumn! I am looking forward to it getting colder so I can strut out with my Schott.

|Great for Winter,
Having had the leather version for years, I knew that this would be a good jacket. I wanted something warm for winter and this definitely fits the bill. It’s a big, heavy and thick jacket that can’t help but keep you very cosy. The only downside is the lack of a fastenable pocket inside or out, but other than that it’s the bee’s knees.
Sure, it’s more expensive than others, but it’s in a different league and worth every penny of the extra. Delivery was very fast too, which was a bonus.
